MODERN ADVENTURERS TALK TO BELSTAFF ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL JOURNEYSPORTRAITS BY RENOWNED BRITISH PHOTOGRAPHER DAVID BURTON
“Fashion or style? I choose style any day”
Singer songwriter Julius Cowdrey knew that music was his destiny since singing in the school choir as a child. It was something of a sidestep from the family business, however – his father, Chris, and grandfather, Colin, both captained the English cricket team.
Julius’s focused drive and determination paid off when he tasted success with his very first releases. His next adventure is taking control of the whole process: writing, performing and managing his artistic vision.Whether it’s Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury or Elton John, Julius feels an affinity to artists’ with ageless appeal, and he carries this attitude over into his clothes, not least his Belstaff jacket. “There’s something special about wearing a great leather jacket – it’s timeless, it’s classic and it just gets better and better,” he says, “Fashion or style? I choose style any day.”
